We went for a neat drive on Saturday night. We went up Butterfield Canyon and up to Sunshine Peak. It is about a 45 minute drive from the mouth of the canyon. You take the paved road to the end and then turn right on a dirt road that switches back and forth till it reaches the top of the peak. From the top you get the best view down into the Kennecott Copper Mine. Justin told us all about the different cuts and roads and dumps. It was really cool. From the top you can also see the Great Salt Lake, Tooele, Utah County and all of Salt Lake County. We stayed and watched the sun set and then drove down in the dark. The roads a good, but steep, with dropoffs! I was a bit nervous driving down in the dark but it was fine. Next time we will bring a picnic and stay at the peak till it is completely dark so we can fully appreciate the lights. Maybe we will go without the kids. It seems like a good make out spot. hehe. Again, I forgot my camera. I really need to stop that.

Ben and I tried to take this same trip last fall, but it started to snow pretty bad, and we were in the bug, so we turned back.
Time for a ticker on your site, eh?
Nevermind... It was just taking a minute for your amiba to pop up. He/she is sooo cute.
I cannot tell you how excited I am for your baby!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm using a lot of exclamation points. This will be your first baby that I'll be around for completely and that I'll want to steal, because I actually love babies now. Not that I didn't love all your kids, I just now really LOVE and appreciate baby kids. :)
ok - this has nothing to do with the long drive post but - CONGRATULATIONS on the baby! I think that is so exciting! Teresa is beyond happy. What a fun and crazy surprise. You need to do a post about it and tell us all about how you found out, and what the other kids think about it.
I hope you kept all those cute cloth diapers.
Yes, please post again. We miss you! We need the WHOLE story, too. The amiba is just a teaser.
Besides, I heard you posted on facebook. I feel betrayed.
