The First Day of the First Grade

Meagan started First grade on Tuesday. She was happy and excited to go. She must have got that from her dad, because I think I cried on my 1st of 1st. Her teacher is Miss Long who has a zoo full of critters at home. Meagan even ATE school lunch, which was the same peanut butter and jelly sandwiches she refuses to eat for me. Today is going to be our first attempt at the bus. And of course I will be following it to the school to make sure she knows where and when to get on and off etc. A little overprotective, I know. I hate the fact that the schools arn't just around the corner. In an emergancy, they could always walk home. Luckily Amanda and Andrew don't start until next week. We have done a few dry runs to there school and it takes 20 minutes to get from Meagan's school to theirs. Unfortunatly they only start 10 minutes apart. So we will be either sending Meagan on the bus or dropping her off early to eat breakfast at the school.
