Skunk Adventures

Check out the skunk adventure we got to be a part of yesterday in Teresa Brown Hairs blog. I have to say I have a weakness for anything baby or fluffy. They are cute little buggers, even if they stick.

Looks like the skunks have probably been abandoned. One escaped from the box last night. We found the hole to the den and put the other two near it and they went back inside. Later that afternoon, we saw 4 laying in the sun, so we bought some "skunk milk" and fed the ones we could catch (3). Two are in a large bin and the rest are in the den. We will know for sure by tomorrow if the mother is truly gone. If so, it's looking like I'll have to call Wildlife Services. Skunks are illegal to keep and I don't think I have it in me to foster 6 little devils. It's A LOT of work. They were really fun to hold and feed though. We bought BIG rubber gloves and learned how to hold down their tails so they wouldn't spray. They fell asleep in our hands.

I was the lucky one to transport them to the woman's house in Springville. My car still stinks like skunk. My windows are now permanately down. How long did it take for your car to quit stinking?
