For her birthday we threw her a birthday bash! We set up a big screen in my parents field (using sheet rock and a sheet), mom borrowed an lcd projector from work, and we watched Robin Hood. Before the movie we had music, karaoke and LOTS of food. We had burgers, hot dogs, turkey burgers, chips, soda, cupcakes, candy and popcorn! Needless to say, we may be eating hot dogs for a while. All of Amanda's best friends came. We had tons of family and close friends and kids from Maeser, Liahona and of course, CSYP! Best of all, we had Brooklynn, Amanda's best friend since the first grade. With her parents help, we flew her down from Oregon for the weekend. They hadn't seen each other in a long time. We took Amanda to the airport under the pretense that we were there to pick up Justin's aunt, who is actually coming next month. When Amanda realized it was Brooklynn coming down the hall she screamed in excitement. They had so much fun giggling and chatting all weekend. On her birthday we drove up to Cascade Springs and took a bunch of pictures. We were all still really tired from the night before and looked a bit haggered. I didn't have time to take any pictures at her party, but I know her Great Grandma did. So I will post them as soon as I get hold of them. We are so proud of Amanda. She is an amazing young woman and we couldn't be luckier than to have her as our daughter. It will be fun to watch her become more of the woman she is already becoming. WE LOVE YOU AMANDA!
