Green Eggs and Ham

On Monday our local Literacy Center had a fundraiser breakfast. The theme was "Green Eggs and Ham." It was Martin Luther King Day and Meagan had school off so Justin wanted to take her. Amanda and Andrew don't get Monday holidays off :( And, since day cares are closed and jobs aren't, we also got to hang out with Zane and Quinn, a.k.a. Think 1 and Thing 2.
I got a few funny looks from people as I pushed around a 16 month old & 5 month old in my obviously pregnant condition. It was funny, especially when people asked how old they were and started doing mental math in their heads. It doesn't help that Zane has so much red hair.

It was a lot of fun for the kids. First they had breakfast, which was the obvious green eggs and ham. Then they had entertainment for the kids including face painting....balloon animals and flowers.....and live entertainment.....The Flash Fox was there. The Flash donates a lot to the Literacy Center and was donating tickets to be sold for a game. The Literacy Center provides free tutoring for anyone in the community in reading, math, and Spanish. It was a great cause to support.

Why don't Amanda and Andrew get Monday holidays off? We had MLK Jr. day off!

Their school only goes Monday thru Thursday. If they took Monday holidays they would only have three day weeks. I wish they would go Tues thru Friday. At least then they would all have the Monday holidays together.
