One of my Favorite Recipes

I got this one from the Gabby Gourmet when he was still on Channel 2...

Tostitos Khaki Mochi

1 pkg (20 oz) Tostitos (round bite size)
1/4 c. butter - don't cheat and use margarine
1/2 cup Karo syrup
1/2 cup sugar
2 T. soy sauce
2 T. sesame seeds

Place the tostitos in a large mixing bowl. In a small saucepan, melt the butter, then add the remaining ingredients, mixing well. Slowly pour the warm mixture over the tostitos, stirring well until all chips are coated. Pour the mixture into a large, sprayed baking pan. Place in a preheated 250 degree oven and bake for 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes. After removing from oven, keep stirring to separate until they feel dry.

*My tricks and cheats... I use the 17? oz bag, I like them a little saucy. I skip the mixing bowl and pour my chips on the baking pan and then pour the sauce over them (less dishes to wash). Instead over stirring to cool them, I pour them out on sheets of waxed paper and separate them to cool.
